Reclaim Your Vitality: Individualized Hormone Replacement Therapy at Atlas Health Institute
Have you been noticing changes in your body or energy? If so, individualized hormone replacement therapy (HRT) might be your answer. Take a moment to learn how it can help address hormone-related symptoms and give you the support you need.

Struggling to feel like yourself lately? Maybe you’re tired — even after a full night’s sleep — dealing with changes in your weight or mood, or noticing shifts in your sex drive. As you age, hormonal changes can affect many aspects of how you feel and function, but you don’t have to live with these changes.

At Atlas Health Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jonathan Tyler, PA-C, and our team have expertise in hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Here’s what we want you to know:

Understanding hormonal changes

Hormones play an important role in numerous processes throughout your body. As you get older, they can naturally fluctuate or decline. With these changes, you might experience symptoms, such as:

  • Fatigue
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Mood changes
  • Reduced muscle mass
  • Changes in body composition
  • Lower sex drive

For women, hormonal shifts associated with perimenopause and menopause can also lead to hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and other uncomfortable symptoms.

As testosterone levels decline, men may notice changes such as lower energy, less muscle mass, or a decreased libido.

The symptoms of hormonal changes can overlap with other health concerns, so it’s important to look at the bigger picture before deciding whether HRT is appropriate for you.

Our personalized approach to HRT

While there are several hormone replacement therapy options available today, our team uses customized doses of supplemental hormones that closely mimic the hormones your body naturally produces.

Your treatment begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your hormone levels, symptoms, medical history, and overall health. We review your test results with you in detail to help you understand what they mean and which treatment options may be best for you.

Next, we develop a treatment plan that’s tailored specifically to your needs. Depending on your hormone levels and treatment goals, your HRT options may include bioidentical hormone pellets or injectable testosterone, as explained here:

Bioidentical hormones

Bioidentical hormones are available in a tiny pellet form that we insert under your skin. The pellet gradually releases hormones into your body and typically begins working within seven to 10 days, providing a steady hormone level for several months.

We can determine whether hormone pellets are appropriate for you and monitor your response over time.

Injectable testosterone

If you’re a man with low testosterone, weekly testosterone injections may be an effective treatment option for you. Testosterone typically reaches its highest level about three days after your injection and then gradually decreases throughout the week. We can determine the appropriate dose based on your hormone levels and health needs.

We monitor you regularly to assess how you’re responding to treatment and can make adjustments when needed. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all regimen, we focus on providing treatment tailored to your body and symptoms.

Where to start

You deserve to feel heard when changes in your health begin affecting your everyday life. Hormone replacement therapy isn’t about trying to turn back the clock. It’s about addressing hormone-related symptoms and supporting your overall well-being as your needs change.
